- 50 guests backyard party: 20×30 tent, six 8-ft banquet tables, 50 padded folding chairs. Plenty of room for a food line and a gift table.
- 75–100 guests mixed crowd: 20×40 tent, round tables for seated dining, chiavari chairs for a more polished look. Add a dance floor if it's going into the evening.
- Outdoor cookout vibe: A 20×20 canopy for shade over the food area, rectangular tables, and basic folding chairs. Casual, affordable, and practical.
- Night party: Frame tent with string lights or market lights (you provide the lights), a dance floor, and DJ table space. Sets the right mood for an after-dark celebration.
How Much Space Do You Need?
Use these guidelines to figure out your tent size:
- Seated dinner: 10 sq ft per guest (so 100 guests = 1,000 sq ft minimum)
- Cocktail / standing: 6 sq ft per guest
- Add 10–15% extra space for buffet tables, a gift table, and flow between tables
- If you're adding a dance floor, add the dance floor square footage on top of your guest count estimate
