The outer edge, honestly priced
DeLand — Stetson University, one of Florida’s best historic downtowns, Victoria Park and the Lake Beresford side — is about 34 road miles from our shop across SR-46 and I-4, the far edge of where we go. Delivery prices around $140 for a downtown DeLand address at our $59 base plus $4 a mile past 15, shown before you pay. We take DeLand tent orders where the tent — usually with tables and chairs — makes the trip worth it for you; for a single 10×10, a closer company will beat us and we will say so.
All seven sizes we rent are aluminum-frame high peak tents with no center pole. Prices are on this page, live from the catalog, and setup and breakdown are part of the tent price.
What DeLand books
Graduation parties and family gatherings near Stetson run a 20×20 or 20×40 over folding chairs and 8-foot tables. Victoria Park clubhouse events run shade tents over the food line on the HOA’s schedule. Backyard weddings on the lakes run the formal 20×40: 60-inch rounds with floor-length linens, padded resin chairs, a dark walnut dance floor and tent lighting.
Downtown and the lakes
Downtown DeLand’s streets are narrow and shared; we confirm truck access for downtown addresses before delivery day and keep setups tight where sidewalks are public. Lakefront homes on Lake Beresford take the afternoon breeze; tents there get extra ratchet lines, and paver patios get weighted footings.
Permits
DeLand addresses fall under the City of DeLand inside its limits and Volusia County outside them. Florida exempts tents up to 900 square feet from the Fire Prevention Code, which covers a 20×40 (800 sq ft); larger tents get a fire review from whichever office governs the address, and we prepare the application and the flame-resistance certificate and schedule around it. Earl Brown Park is the city’s main event park and runs on the City of DeLand’s special-event rules — reserve first, send us the approved window, and we set up inside it with a certificate of insurance on request.
Sizing
- 20×20 — 30–40 seated; the Stetson-area graduation tent.
- 20×40 — 80 seated at ten rounds; the lakefront wedding, no review needed.
- 40×40 — 160 seated; the big reunion, with the review scheduled two weeks out.
- 10×10 / 10×20 — a grill, a bar, shade over the registration table.
A 20×40 needs about 24×44 of flat ground once stakes and lines are counted. For DeLand we recommend calling so we can quote the tent, the tables and delivery together and tell you honestly whether the trip makes sense for your order.
