Tents that respect Lake Monroe
Sanford’s waterfront is the reason we stake the way we do. The lawns along Lake Monroe and the RiverWalk-side hardscape take a steady breeze off a very big lake, and a tent that is comfortable at ten in the morning is working by mid-afternoon. Every high peak tent we install on the Sanford waterfront gets extra ratchet lines as standard, weighted footings on the paver and concrete areas near the water, and a footprint moved a few feet if it puts the open side into the wind line. Tell us your yard is on the lake and we plan for it before the truck leaves Apopka.
All seven sizes we rent are aluminum-frame high peak tents — 10×10, 10×20, 20×20, 20×40, 40×40, 40×60 and 40×80 — with no center pole and a roofline that sheds summer storms. Prices are on this page, live from the catalog.
What Sanford books
Engagement parties and rehearsal dinners in the historic district near First Street run a 20×20 or 20×40 with rounds, padded chairs and floor-length linens. Church events along Celery Avenue and in Goldsboro run a 40×40 with folding chairs by the hundred. Lake Forest and the Heathrow side book corporate and HOA tents on the venue’s schedule with a certificate of insurance sent the same day it is asked for.
Sizing
Ten square feet per seated guest at 60-inch rounds: a 20×20 seats 40, a 20×40 seats 80, a 40×40 seats 160, a 40×60 seats 240 and a 40×80 seats 320. A 20×40 needs roughly 24×44 of flat ground once stakes and guy lines are counted; send us the dimensions of the space and we will tell you what fits.
Permits and Fort Mellon Park
Florida exempts tents up to 900 square feet from the Fire Prevention Code, which covers a 20×40 (800 sq ft). The 40×40 and larger get a fire review — from the City of Sanford inside the limits (Building Division, 407-688-5150) or Seminole County Fire Prevention (407-665-7422) outside them, which checks exits and requires stakes near exits to be capped or railed. Events at Fort Mellon Park, Centennial Park or the RiverWalk need a City of Sanford special-event permit; we set up inside your approved window and provide a certificate of insurance if the city asks.
The drive, priced honestly
Sanford is about 27 road miles from our shop across SR-46. Delivery prices around $110 for the whole order — $59 base plus $4 a mile past 15 — and it is on the screen before you pay. For a tent order that is still usually under an Orlando warehouse’s trip charge, and the tent price already includes setup and breakdown.
