Closer than the county line suggests
Mount Dora is about 11 road miles from our shop up SR-441 — closer than Orlando, closer than Winter Park — so it gets the flat $59 delivery and early morning windows. Backyard celebrations around Lake Gertrude, in Loch Leven and at the Country Club of Mount Dora book 20×20 and 20×40 high peak tents with rounds and padded chairs; downtown shops and organizers book 10×10 and 10×20 vendor tents for events and festival weekends; the Lakes of Mount Dora community books shade tents for clubhouse gatherings.
All seven sizes we rent are aluminum-frame high peak tents with no center pole. Prices are on this page, live from the catalog, and setup and breakdown are included.
Festival weekends fill first
The Mount Dora Arts Festival in February, the Craft Fair in October, the Plant and Garden Fair and Light Up Mount Dora are the busiest weekends in Lake County, and our 10×10 and 10×20 tents are spoken for weeks ahead. If your event or booth lands on one of those weekends, book early and we hold the inventory; vendors, tell us the festival and we deliver on the organizer’s load-in schedule.
Downtown slopes and lakefront breeze
The historic district’s streets are narrow and slope toward Lake Dora. We confirm truck access for downtown addresses before delivery day and level the frame with adjustable legs on the slopes. Lakefront homes on Lake Dora and Lake Gertrude take the afternoon breeze; tents there get extra ratchet lines as standard, and paver patios get weighted footings.
Permits
Tents up to 900 square feet are exempt from the Florida Fire Prevention Code, which covers a 20×40 (800 sq ft). Tents over 900 square feet or with any side 30 feet or longer need a Lake County permit and a fire-protection review — we prepare the application and the flame-resistance certificate and schedule around it. Inside city limits the City of Mount Dora’s building office is the contact; we confirm which applies to your address before you book.
Sizing
- 10×10 / 10×20 — a festival booth, a bar, shade over the food line.
- 20×20 — 30–40 seated; the Lake Gertrude birthday tent.
- 20×40 — 80 seated; the backyard wedding, no review needed.
- 40×40 and up — 160+ seated, with the Lake County review two weeks out.
A 20×40 needs about 24×44 of flat ground once stakes and lines are counted. Send a photo and we will tell you what fits.
Parks
Gilbert Park and Elizabeth Evans Park on the Lake Dora waterfront and Donnelly Park downtown are city facilities; reserve through the City of Mount Dora, send us the approved window, and we set up inside it with a certificate of insurance on request.
