Tents on the Seaplane City’s waterfront
Tavares sits on Lake Dora about 16 road miles from our shop via SR-441 and SR-19, just past our 15-mile flat zone, so delivery prices around $67 for the whole order, shown at checkout. The waterfront is where the tents go: Wooton Park hosts the city’s festivals and seaplane fly-ins, lakefront homes along the Lake Dora shore book wedding tents, and the Royal Harbor and Lake Frances Estates communities book shade tents for clubhouse and backyard gatherings.
All seven sizes we rent are aluminum-frame high peak tents with no center pole — 10×10 through 40×80 — and the crew installs every one. Prices are on this page, live from the catalog; setup and breakdown are included.
The breeze off Lake Dora
Lake Dora is big enough to make its own wind in the afternoon. Every tent we install on the Tavares waterfront gets extra ratchet lines as standard, and on the seawall-side hardscape and paver patios we anchor with weighted footings instead of stakes. Tell us your property is on the lake and we plan for it before the truck leaves Apopka.
Wooton Park and permits
Wooton Park is a City of Tavares facility and events there need a city permit; once yours is approved, send us the load-in window and site map and we set up inside it, with a certificate of insurance if the city asks. On private property, tents up to 900 square feet are exempt from the Florida Fire Prevention Code, which covers a 20×40 (800 sq ft). Larger tents, or any side 30 feet or longer, need a Lake County permit and fire-protection review — we prepare the application and the flame-resistance certificate and schedule around it. Inside city limits the City of Tavares building office is the contact; we confirm which applies before you book.
Sizing a Tavares event
- 20×20 — 30–40 seated; the backyard birthday tent.
- 20×40 — 80 seated at ten rounds; the lakefront wedding, no review needed.
- 40×40 — 160 seated; the community event, with the Lake County review two weeks out.
- 10×10 / 10×20 — a bar, a grill, or a festival booth at Wooton Park.
A 20×40 needs about 24×44 of flat ground once stakes and lines are counted. Send a photo and dimensions and we will tell you what fits.
What goes with the tent
Rounds with floor-length linens, padded resin chairs, a dark walnut dance floor and tent lighting for a wedding; folding chairs and 8-foot tables for a community event; fans and coolers from the add-ons list. One checkout, one delivery fee, one crew.
