Closer than people think
Mount Dora is only about 11 road miles from our shop up SR-441 — closer than Orlando, closer than Winter Park — so it gets our flat $59 delivery and early morning windows. People assume the Lake County line means a long trip; it does not.
The orders are a mix. Backyard celebrations around Lake Gertrude and in Loch Leven and the Country Club of Mount Dora book 20×20 and 20×40 high peak tents with rounds and padded chairs; the historic downtown books vendor tents and cocktail tables for shop events and festival weekends; the Lakes of Mount Dora community books tables and chairs for clubhouse gatherings.
Festival weekends
Mount Dora’s calendar is the busiest in Lake County — the Arts Festival in February, the Craft Fair in October, the Plant and Garden Fair, Light Up Mount Dora — and on those weekends our tents, tables and chairs are spoken for weeks ahead. If your event lands on a festival weekend, book early and we will hold the inventory; if you are a vendor, tell us the festival and we deliver on the organizer’s load-in schedule.
The historic district
Downtown streets are narrow and slope toward Lake Dora. We confirm truck access for downtown addresses before delivery day, level table runs on the slopes, and keep setups tight where sidewalks are shared. Lakefront homes on Lake Dora and Lake Gertrude take the afternoon breeze; tents there get extra ratchet lines.
Permits and parks
Tents up to 900 square feet are exempt from the Florida Fire Prevention Code. Larger tents, or any side 30 feet or longer, need a Lake County permit and fire-protection review — we prepare it and schedule around it. Gilbert Park on the Lake Dora waterfront has pavilions reserved through the city; Elizabeth Evans Park at the foot of Donnelly Street has a pavilion and picnic area; Donnelly Park downtown hosts city events under the city’s special-event rules. Reserve first, send us the window, and we set up inside it with a certificate of insurance on request.
