The Tuscawilla backyard tent
Winter Springs tent orders are mostly Tuscawilla: birthday parties, graduation open houses and family reunions in backyards that fit a 20×20 high peak tent — 30 to 40 seated, 50 standing around the food tables — with the 20×40 coming out for the bigger reunions and the occasional backyard wedding. Town Center community events and church functions along SR-434 book shade tents over the food line and the registration table.
All seven sizes we rent are aluminum-frame high peak tents with no center pole. Prices are on this page, live from the catalog; setup and breakdown are included. Winter Springs is about 17 road miles from the shop via SR-436 and Red Bug Lake Road, a couple of miles past our flat zone, so delivery prices around $67 for the whole order, shown at checkout.
HOA hours and lanais
Several Tuscawilla neighborhoods restrict commercial-vehicle hours and street parking. Send us the HOA rules when you book and we schedule inside them; the crew keeps the truck in the driveway and carries the frame through the side gate — a 20×40 breaks down into pieces that fit a standard gate. Screened lanais and paver patios get weighted footings instead of stakes; sandy turf stakes well. Summer afternoon storms arrive on schedule here, and a high peak roof sheds them; we add ratchet lines on anything 20×40 and larger.
Permits
Florida exempts tents up to 900 square feet from the Fire Prevention Code, which covers our 20×20 and 20×40. A 40×40 or larger gets a fire review — from the city inside Winter Springs limits or from Seminole County Fire Prevention (407-665-7422) outside them, which checks exits and requires stakes near exits to be capped or railed — and we prepare the application and the flame-resistance certificate and schedule around it.
Sizing
Ten square feet per seated guest at 60-inch rounds: a 20×20 seats 40, a 20×40 seats 80, a 40×40 seats 160. A 20×20 needs about 24×24 of flat ground once stakes and guy lines are counted, a 20×40 about 24×44. Send a photo of the yard and we will tell you honestly what fits — and if the answer is two 10×20 tents instead of one 20×40 because of a fence line, we will say that.
Parks
Central Winds Park is the city’s main event park and Trotwood Park has pavilions families reserve for parties; both go through the City of Winter Springs. Reserve first, send us the approved window, and we set up inside it with a certificate of insurance on request.
What goes with the tent
Folding chairs and 8-foot tables for open houses; rounds with lap-length linens and padded chairs for showers and anniversaries; a drum fan and a cooler from the add-ons list because it is Florida. One checkout, one delivery fee, one crew.
