Where our biggest tents go up
Longwood has the ground for them. The acre-plus properties along Markham Woods Road and around Lake Brantley have room for a 40×40 or 40×60 high peak tent with the guy lines fully extended and street access wide enough for the truck — more of our largest tents go up in Longwood than in any other city. Wekiva Cove and Sabal Point, closer to our side of I-4, are normal suburban lots that take a 20×20 or 20×40 comfortably.
All seven sizes we rent are aluminum-frame high peak tents with no center pole. Prices for every size are on this page, live from the catalog, and setup and breakdown are part of the tent price. Longwood is about 15 road miles from the shop, right at the edge of our flat zone: $59 delivery for the closer addresses and a few dollars more out toward Markham Woods, computed from your real address at checkout.
The 900-square-foot rule, where it matters most
A 20×40 (800 sq ft) is exempt from the Florida Fire Prevention Code; a 40×40 (1,600 sq ft) is not. Inside Longwood city limits the city handles the review; outside them Seminole County Fire Prevention (407-665-7422) does, checking exits and exit widths and requiring stakes near exits to be capped or railed. We prepare the application, supply the flame-resistance certificate and the site plan, and build the review time into your delivery date — book a 40×40 or larger at least two weeks out.
Ground, access and HOAs
The Markham Woods area is sand over clay and holds a stake well; open acreage catches wind, so large tents get extra ratchet lines as standard. Long private drives are common — tell us if yours is unpaved and the crew plans the approach. Sweetwater Oaks and Sabal Point HOAs restrict truck access hours; send the rules and we schedule inside them.
Sizing for Longwood events
- 20×20 — 30–40 seated; the Wekiva Cove graduation tent.
- 20×40 — 80 seated at ten rounds, still under the 900 sq ft line.
- 40×40 — 160 seated; the Markham Woods wedding, with a fire review.
- 40×60 / 40×80 — 240–320 seated; the church picnic and the big reunion.
A 40×40 needs roughly 46×46 of flat ground once stakes and guy lines are counted. Send a photo and dimensions and we will tell you what fits.
Parks
Reiter Park by the historic district runs on the city’s special-event rules; Candyland Park has pavilions families reserve; Big Tree Park is a Seminole County park. Reserve first, send us the window, and we set up inside it with a certificate of insurance on request.
