Fourteen miles, $59, early windows
Altamonte Springs is about 14 road miles from our shop on Breezy Meadow Road — inside our 15-mile flat zone — so every tent order here gets the $59 delivery and some of our earliest morning windows. It is also one of our most frequent stops, which is why we already rank well here: birthday parties in Spring Lake Hills and Sanlando Springs, church events off SR-434, and picnics near Uptown Altamonte.
All seven sizes are aluminum-frame high peak tents with no center pole. Prices for every size are on this page, live from the catalog, and setup and breakdown are included in the tent price.
The 900-square-foot line, and why it matters here
Altamonte Springs’ Building and Fire Safety Department requires a tent permit only for tents or canopies over 900 square feet: $50, up to five calendar days to process, with a certificate of flame resistance and a site plan (407-571-8433). Our 20×20 (400 sq ft) and 20×40 (800 sq ft) never need it. Our 40×40 (1,600 sq ft) does — so for a 40×40 in Altamonte, book at least ten days out; we supply the certificate and the plan and time the setup after the permit issues. Addresses outside the city limits fall under Seminole County Fire Prevention (407-665-7422), which uses the same 900-square-foot threshold.
Sizing for Altamonte events
- 20×20 — 30–40 seated; the birthday-party and small-reunion tent.
- 20×40 — 80 seated at ten rounds; church socials, graduations, backyard weddings.
- 40×40 — 160 seated; the big church event, with a permit.
- 10×10 / 10×20 — shade over the grill, the bar or the gift table.
A 20×40 wants about 24×44 of flat ground once stakes and guy lines are counted. Send a photo of the yard and we will tell you honestly what fits.
Older lots
Many Altamonte homes sit on older lots with mature trees and, in some neighborhoods, a septic drain field in the back yard. Tell us where the drain field is and we keep stakes and the truck off it; tell us where the big roots run and we shift the tent a few feet. On paver patios we anchor with weighted footings.
Parks
Cranes Roost Park events go through the city’s special-event process; Sanlando Park and Eastmonte Park pavilions are reserved through the county and the city respectively. Once your reservation is approved, send us the load-in time and we set up inside it with a certificate of insurance on request.
