Thirteen miles down the 429
Ocoee is one of the closest cities we deliver tents to — about 13 road miles straight down SR-429 from the shop — so it gets the flat $59 delivery, early morning windows and a crew that knows the neighborhoods between Clarke Road and Starke Lake. The typical Ocoee tent order is a family reunion or a graduation party: a 20×20 or 20×40 high peak tent over folding chairs and 8-foot tables in a Forest Oaks or Wesmere backyard, or over a reserved pavilion lawn at one of the city parks.
All seven sizes are aluminum-frame high peak tents with no center pole — 10×10, 10×20, 20×20, 20×40, 40×40, 40×60 and 40×80 — and the crew installs every one. Prices are on this page, live from the catalog; setup and breakdown are included.
Water tables, pavers and storms
Ocoee yards are mostly sandy soil and stake well. Lots backing onto Starke Lake and Prairie Lake sit on a higher water table after summer storms, so the crew brings longer stakes and checks for soft ground before raising a frame. Paver patios and pool decks in the newer Clarke Road subdivisions get weighted footings — nothing drilled, nothing staked through the pavers. Summer storms arrive on schedule; a high peak roof sheds them, and we add ratchet lines on anything 20×40 and larger.
The lake parks
Bill Breeze Park on Starke Lake, next to the Ocoee Lakeshore Center, has a wedding pavilion, a gazebo and an acre of open lawn, rented through the city’s Parks & Leisure office (407-905-3180) — the nicest lakefront lawn in West Orange for a tented reception. Vignetti Park has pavilions and fields families reserve for birthday parties. Reserve first, send us the approved window, and we set up inside it with a certificate of insurance if the city asks.
Permits
Florida exempts tents up to 900 square feet from the Fire Prevention Code, which covers our 20×20 (400 sq ft) and 20×40 (800 sq ft). The City of Ocoee requires permits for most temporary structures and asks anyone unsure to call the Building Division at 407-905-3104 — for a specific address we make that call before your event. The 40×40 and larger exceed the state line and get a fire review either way; we prepare the paperwork and schedule around it.
Sizing an Ocoee reunion
Ten square feet per seated guest at 60-inch rounds: a 20×20 seats 40, a 20×40 seats 80, a 40×40 seats 160. For a buffet-style reunion with 8-foot tables the same tents hold about the same headcount with more elbow room in the serving line. A 20×40 needs about 24×44 of flat ground once stakes and guy lines are counted — send a photo of the yard and we will tell you what fits.
What goes with the tent
Most Ocoee tent orders add folding chairs and 8-foot tables, a drum fan and a cooler from the add-ons list, and tent lighting if the party runs past dark. Add them in the same checkout and it is one $59 delivery and one crew.
