Small lots and big lanais
Winter Garden tent orders split by neighborhood. Behind the bungalows near Plant Street the yards are small, and the right tent is a 10×20 or a 20×20 tucked against the house — 20 to 40 guests, shade over the tables, a grill under the 10×10. Out in Horizon West, Hamlin and Independence the lots are new and the lanais are covered, so the tent goes up next to the lanai to double the covered space: a 20×40 for a graduation or a quinceañera, 80 seated at ten 60-inch rounds, with a dance floor and tent lighting.
All seven sizes we rent — 10×10 through 40×80 — are aluminum-frame high peak tents with no center pole, and the crew installs every one. Winter Garden is about 14 road miles from our shop via SR-429, inside our 15-mile zone, so delivery is the flat $59 for nearly every address in the city. Prices for every size are on this page, live from the catalog, and setup and breakdown are part of the tent price.
New-construction yards
Horizon West lots are compacted fill with irrigation lines close to the surface. Our crew probes before driving a stake and shifts the footprint a foot or two rather than hit a line; on paver lanais and pool decks we anchor with weighted footings so nothing is drilled. Most of these communities are gated — put the gate code or guardhouse instructions in your order notes and the crew never has to call you at seven in the morning.
Lakefront homes on the south shore of Lake Apopka and around Lake Butler Sound catch a steady afternoon wind; any 20×40 or larger there gets extra ratchet lines as a matter of course.
The permit process in Winter Garden
Winter Garden is more procedural than most cities. Tents inside the city go through the Building Department, and Planning & Zoning signs off first; the city asks for a site plan, a drawing showing how the tent is guyed and braced, proof of the property owner’s permission and a flame-spread report, and notes that some larger tents need City Commission approval (general line 407-656-4111). Florida’s 900-square-foot fire-code exemption still covers a residential 20×40, but the city may want the paperwork regardless — we tell you before booking whether your address needs an application, and we provide the bracing drawing and the flame-spread report.
Sizing
- 10×10 / 10×20 — grill, bar, gift table, or a 12–20 person cocktail gathering.
- 20×20 — 30–40 seated; the Plant Street backyard tent.
- 20×40 — 80 seated; the Horizon West graduation and quinceañera tent, still under the 900 sq ft line.
- 40×40 and up — 160+ seated; church and community events, with the city’s permit.
A 20×40 needs roughly 24×44 of flat ground once stakes and guy lines are counted. Send a photo of the space and we will tell you what fits.
Parks
Newton Park on Lake Apopka, Tucker Ranch Recreation and Nature Complex and the Jessie Brock Community Center Park are city facilities; reserve through the City of Winter Garden first, then send us the approved window and we set up inside it with a certificate of insurance on request.
